The Keepers
The Keeper is not divinely appointed, nor born to the office. The Keeper is chosen by the Archives and by the fellow Archivists who serve them — a charge passed from one steward to the next across the long history of the institution.
Aleryn Duskwhisper
The fifteenth to bear the mantle of Keeper. Separately, and by divine appointment unrelated to this office, he also serves as Exarch of Illario — the two titles coincide in his person alone; no Keeper before him held both.
Fourteen Keepers Preceded the Present Office
Their names, tenures, and the record of their stewardship are held within the Archives but have not yet been prepared for general circulation. This roster will be extended as that work is completed.
